With over 125 pieces of artwork on display and available for purchase, Argosy Collegiate continues its support of the creative talents of its scholars. There will be a cash bar and light snacks served.
Art is an essential part of the Argosy experience. Scholars engage and create artwork through a variety of art course offerings including a middle and high school art class, a middle school advanced art after school program, a 3-credit Art 140 course through Bristol Community College, art workshops with local professional artists, and a dedicated art show elective where scholars develop art pieces specifically for the art auction.
Scholar/artists receive 75% of the sale price for their original work, with the remaining 25% supporting the cost of materials. Scholar/artists also gain firsthand experience in entrepreneurship through the marketing and sale of their artwork.
Proceeds from art sales and sponsorships fund enriching opportunities like art-centric field trips and art workshops with professional artists, as well as funding the Alumni Advancement Fund, which provides micro-grants to Argosy's alumni who are pursuing higher education.
